BEYOND CUTE

All babies are cute! But when we look a little deeper we’re also able to see some of the stresses, impacts and injuries that occurred from their birth. This is what I mean when I ask you to look “Beyond The Cute”. Beside how cute and adorable they are, notice how vulnerable they are. Notice how their vulnerability has led to the creation of their Birth Mask. Once their Birth Mask is understood, most of the issues can be healed with a few short steps.

Look at the image comparisons below to see beyond the cute. Notice how the babies’ birth impacts become evident when the Birth Mask has been diagrammed.

“I'm not hungry. I'm not thirsty. I need to tell you what I'm feeling.”

When a baby cries or signals discomfort, we often think they have a need around food, being burped, needing a changing or whatever. But sometimes our babies are experiencing physical sensations or memories associated with the difficulty of their birth.

We often see babies who are asleep or awake who seem to be relaxed and happy, in fact sometimes these babies, especially “good babies” who never cry, are actually holding complex contortions in their craniums.

We want to comfort and care for our babies when they cry. We are programed to see babies cuteness and that can mislead us as to what they’re really asking for. By learning lie sides and baby body language we can see significant markers in their physiologies that allow us to better care for them and bond with them. This can be especially important for postpartum practitioners and can be especially effective in helping with the blues: if your new mother has an unhappy and crying baby and you don’t understand why, it’s likely that your patient will also be miserable.
