A Birth Mask is the story of cranial and facial molding caused by compression and drag forces during birth.
Evaluating the Birth Mask can lead us to clues of the physical and psycho-emotional story of the baby’s birth.
This is the key to facilitate deeper bonding.
All of these people were right-sided lies indicated by eyes that are pressed closer to the midline and dragged lower than the other eye.
Watch as KT Demonstrates his Birth Mask Reveal (BMR) Method with Our Birth Journey. Working from a photograph of a face and various visual aides, KT makes a diagram of the facial molding and other somatic impacts from childbirth. Seeing these details helps people of all ages better understand their (or their child’s) unique birth story.
Learn More About The Birth Mask and Baby Body Language (BBL)*
“BBL”* and its affect on the baby and bonding are under-recognized. Doulas, Midwives, OBGYNs, other birth practitioners, and even parents, can all substantially benefit from this treasure of information. It’s like reading sign language, opening the door to a whole world of what the baby wants and needs to talk about. “BBL” includes the Birth Mask, body gestures, facial gestures, crying, blink rates, muscle tensions, and skin tones.
Palpating The Birth Mask
In this video KT reads Anna’s “BBL” to better understand her birth story, where she was stuck, and where she felt overpowered.
He attends to what the baby wants to show, and is present, with such skills as mirroring, energetic palpation, and physical palpation.
He interprets the “BBL” and talks with her mom about what Anna is explaining, so that Mom can know her baby more deeply and giver her Accurate Empathy.
All babies are cute! But when we look a little deeper we’re also able to see some of the stresses, impacts and injuries that occurred from their birth. This is what I mean when I ask you to look “Beyond The Cute”. Beside how cute and adorable they are, notice how vulnerable they are. Notice how their vulnerability has led to the creation of their Birth Mask. Once their Birth Mask is understood, most of the issues can be healed with a few short steps.

*“Baby Body Language” includes body gestures, facial gestures, crying, blink rates, muscle tensions, and skin tones. When a practitioner or parent can understand what the baby is saying. Much of The Birth Mask is held in the Lie Side of the baby’s cranium. The ‘Lie Side’ simply means the side of a baby’s head that was lying against his or her mother’s spine. Dr. William Emerson, Pre and Perinatal Psychology pioneer, has been explaining the significance of lie side phenomena for decades.
