Family Feedback

 Practitioner Feedback

I want to take this opportunity to give you some feedback regarding Simon's Session (8 yrs. old).

We talked about the homework you gave us [eg: for his Stage 2 rotation trauma]: buying a lock and supporting him on unlocking the lock as fast & as slow he can – with eyes right / with eyes left and so on.

The next day I was working on my computer and he he came to me and sat down on the sofa. He started talking about his birth, apparently out of nowhere. And he told me, literally, “Babys need to turn their head to come out.

I had to turn my head and there was this big bump of a bone, and I had to go over it, and there I injured my eye.

It was bleeding. The blood is gone, but it still hurts sometimes.”

I’ve been working in this field for a few years now, but I’m still overwhelmed by what human beings can consciously feel and remember and say, once they are accurately seen.

I love this little boy so much.

And I think, now he feels he is being loved a little more accurately!

I am deeply grateful for the help today with my 38 yr. old baby. More evidence that there is no time in God.. it is always right now that pain gets addressed.

"Working beside Karlton with Babies and their parents I was often moved, and fascinated. It was impressive and made me happy seeing and feeling how he was able to change the atmosphere for the family, even while in the midst of the students, with all of us coming around into something very peaceful and loving. Karlton created safety and a great openness, making it possible for the growth of trust and deep emotions within Babies and Parents, with wounds being safely contained and seen in a sensitive place with empathy. Healing would occur in us adults and the parents, learning and becoming able to understand Babies’ Crying and Body Language, and to acknowledge the way where she/he went through on the way into into our world…"

-Dr. Rose Drescherswartz Psychiatrist, Switzerland

Being able to see everything that happened around pregnancy and birth, out of the eyes of the baby, helps us therapists, and also parents and grandparents, to understand a baby‘s needs and sorrows.

Karlton's book is a wonderful gift to the world: for everybody who has a baby, who works with babies, and also for parents or grandparents who want to understand what is going on in their sweet little ones, and how they can accompany them with a lot of empathy.

I really love to recommend his book to parents, because it so easily helps them understand the inside of their baby so much deeper, and this improves the communication between them to another level. It is so healing for the baby to be seen.

I also know parents who were so thankful after reading it, to understand years later, what their baby felt those days.

Karlton Terry Pre and Perinatal Educator

Karlton received these emails before and after a private Zoom session with a Mother and her 4 year old son who was dealing with severe constipation (a fecal impaction after almost 2 years of chronic constipation):

Before:

“His stomach has gotten worse, not better - it appears our laxative treatment isn’t working enough and I’m pretty sure we will have to take him to the hospital for the enema treatment.

I was hoping if we addressed underlying emotional issues, it would help him release and pass it. But at this point I’m worried it’s too late for that to help at this level.”

Karlton met the family for a Prenatal Zoom Session adressing prenatal traumas related to the constipation. (Umbilical Affect/Hoarding, Prenatal Opportunistic “Straw Feeding”)

After:

“Tuesday the floodgates opened, he literally went 9 times! Another 3 today. Looks like we'll be able to avoid medical intervention, and are actively working on the exercises you suggested.”

“I have only very good memories of my encounters with Karlton, I feel grateful to him and feel very connected to him.”

We founded in 2006 the ISPPM Institute in Switzerland (Internationale Studiengemeinschaft für prä und perinatale Medizin und Psychologie www.isppm.ch), where we engaged Karlton regularly as a main trainer for our pre and perinatal formations. His Baby Clinics were for many years very important places for teaching and healing prenatal and birth trauma in babies. We hope, that Karlton can go on to give his profound knowledge and wisdom to this world, which needs this deep healing so urgently.

Sarah, a mother whose 1 yr. old was waking and crying 5 to 10 times per night while teething. Following a video call lie side, mTBI, somato-magnetism assessment:

“I can't believe (except I can!) what an impact our last 'Zoom' session had. THAT NIGHT and several following, he slept almost the entire night, with just ONE wake-up. He's started teething again, so between the pain and not wanting to eat much, he's been waking up 2-3 times a night -- but WAY better than 5-10. I am FOREVER thankful. “

Karlton Terry was our teacher during the training in pre and perinatal psychotherapy together with William Emerson and Marjorie Rand. He trained us later as teachers, trainers and supervisors for pre and perinatal psychotherapy and baby psychotherapy in the institute for Pre and Perinatal Education IPPE. Karlton developed wonderful trainings for the very earliest embodiment periods (egg journey, sperm journey and conception), for implantation, umbilical affect and other prenatal issues and for the whole birth process. Unique and very rich are his trainings in Baby therapy.

Karlton's love, empathy and his healing work with babies is unique and I appreciate it so much!!! I am very thankful that I had the great opportunity to learn a lot from him to help families in my healing practice.

Your work is definitely a great precious gift to a huge amount of Babies and their families in this world !

And also to a lot of therapists, who are happy that they are able to help their clients on a deeper level!

THANK YOU KARLTON FOR ALL YOU ARE DOING AND FOR SHARING YOUR WISDOM WITH US !

The first two nights I had clear dreams that I could recall, (I usually don't recall my dreams). I have felt more peace within, and a deep settling, along with a relaxation of my shoulders area. I feel that my neck area has received permission to explore it's process of birth memory. I feel honored to have received the BMR work.
